CHRISTIAN
COUNSELING

The Department of Christian Counseling exists to equip counselors to be:

Effective
Effective counseling skills will be developed to address the diverse problems people face today.

Caring
Caring counselors provide encouragement and guidance for those facing loss, decisions, or disappointments.

Unique
Counselors will develop unique strategies that will be used to aid in changing behavior, attitudes, and perceptions from a biblical perspective.

Bearing one another’s burdens is the call of every Christian, and our Christian Counseling degrees will equip you to do just that. We instruct in discipleship-based counseling, built on personal rather than professional relationships. We equip our students in the Word of God, develop their understanding of human design through a biblical view of psychology, and train in the people literacy skills needed to meet the diverse needs of God’s people.

The Goal: Train you to counsel, comfort, exhort, and disciple with excellence, fulfilling the mandate of Colossians 3:12-17
