The Department of Biblical Counseling is built on the conviction that effective counselors must be grounded in Scripture and theology. Students develop a strong biblical foundation that equips them to understand God’s Word, live according to His design, and provide counsel rooted in biblical truth rather than personal opinion or experience. We affirm the sufficiency of Scripture to address the challenges and complexities of life (2 Timothy 3:16–17).​​

Bachelors in Biblical Counseling (120 credits)
Masters in Biblical Counseling (36 credits)
PhD in Biblical Counseling (42 credits)
Our program prepares students to provide compassionate, Christ-centered care that promotes spiritual growth and transformation. Grounded in Scripture and guided by the gospel, students learn to help others develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ rather than dependence on a counselor. Through a process of discovery, development, and deployment, students discern their calling, strengthen their gifts and counseling skills, and apply their training in real ministry settings. With personalized mentorship and practical experience, graduates are equipped for faithful service and effective leadership in the church and beyond.
COURSE PREVIEW
In this course, students will learn how our thoughts influence both our physical and emotional well-being. We will learn how to replace toxic thoughts with healthy ones. Students will learn they are not victims to their past, biology, or circumstances and learn how to “…receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save our souls” (James 1:21).
